Gabriel Barron

SHPE Jr. Chair

Hi y’all!
I am Gabriel Barron! I was born in Dallas, TX and raised in Duncanville, TX. I am currently studying IT and Systems in the School of Management.
Growing up, my parents emphasized the importance of a college education, and the impact it will have in my life. As a student at UT Dallas, I try to pass on that message through community outreach. I served as SHPE UTD’s Jr. Co-Representative for 2016-2017, and also work with the Diversity Outreach Team, a team that specializes in aiding middle to high school URM students get information about college, in hopes that they will attend and graduate with a degree. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, jamming to music, and eating tacos (tacos de lengua are my faaave!).

Jacob Perez
